Import to Southern Ireland, it’s so easy at Autozone
Why Import from Autozone?
We are regular exporters to Southern Ireland, and there are many reasons why so many customers residing in Southern Ireland have already purchased their dream car from us. The main reason is the price and quality! Our customers have found that, even when VRT and exchange rates are considered, our cars are considerably cheaper than their equivalent in Southern Ireland. The current strength of the Euro against Sterling means now is a great time to buy from Autozone. Also, the new VRT rates based on CO2 emissions mean you’ll pay less VRT on most cars.
For total piece of mind, we use an independent RAC engineer to examine our vehicles. An RAC Inspection is a comprehensive visual check of a used car’s condition – including everything from bodywork to jacking joints and seat belts to clutch. The inspection also includes a thorough road test. When the RAC engineer has examined the vehicle, any identified fault will be reported.
Ask your salesperson to discuss the RAC report of your desired vehicle over the telephone, or to e-mail or fax it to you. That way you can be confident you are buying a high quality vehicle before arriving at Autozone.
We also offer a comprehensive warranty package which covers all of Europe, giving piece of mind to all our customers.
It’s also a great excuse for a weekend away. Autozone is situated in the town of Coleraine, minutes away from the stunning Causeway Coast, home to the Giant’s Causeway, spectacular beaches as well as the thrilling North West 200.
The buying process
It’s so simple to import your car from Autozone, and you can drive away the same day. Simply choose your dream car; the friendly sales team at Autozone will calculate the VRT and exchange rate for you. Payment is accepted through Debit cards, Bankers draft or Bank transfer.
From July 2008 the CO2 Emissions of imported vehicles will determine the VRT rate, which is then applied to the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) of your desired vehicle. All of our stock is advertised with CO2 Emissions, the table below shows VRT rates. Click the link to the VRT calculator and enter the details of your desired vehicle to determine the OMSP of this vehicle. Alternatively contact a member of our helpful sales team on 0044 (0)28 7035 3333 or email sales@autozonecars.co.uk, and they will happily calculate the VRT for you.
After collecting your car from Autozone, your next port of call is one of 23 Vehicle Registration Offices of the Revenue Commission. They will ask to see proof of ownership (i.e. your invoice and vehicle registration document supplied by Autozone) and ask for payment of the VRT by the end of the next working day. You will need to complete a VRT4 form.
Once your vehicle has been registered by the Revenue Commission and VRT paid, you will receive a new registration number, and will need to obtain registration plates from any motor dealer.
It’s that simple!!
